About the role

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Purchasing Clerk to join the dynamic team at GF Technology Sdn Bhd. Based in our Bayan Lepas, Penang office, this full-time role is responsible for executing all purchasing activities to support the operations of our manufacturing and logistics divisions.

What you'll be doing

• Prepare and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders in a timely and accurate manner
• Liaise with suppliers to negotiate pricing, manage deliveries, and resolve any issues or discrepancies
• Monitor inventory levels and recommend replenishment actions to ensure stock availability
• Assist with data entry, ensuring the accuracy of supplier invoices, delivery orders and purchase orders
• Follow up with supplier to ensure the timely delivery of ordered items
• Support the implementation of purchasing policies and procedures to drive continuous improvement
• Other duties and assignments as instructed by superior from time to time

What we're looking for

• At least 2 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within a manufacturing or logistics environment
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to work with figures and data with a high degree of accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
• Proficient in using enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and Microsoft Office suite
• A team player with a proactive and problem-solving mindset
• Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field would be an advantage
