Overview
The Public Relations & Media Manager plays a vital role in shaping and amplifying Knight Frank Malaysia’s brand voice across all earned media and public channels. This role is both strategic and hands‑on, ideal for someone who thrives on storytelling, media engagement, and high‑impact communications that reinforce the firm’s position as a trusted advisor and thought leader in real estate.
You will manage media relations, develop press strategies, oversee content creation, and collaborate closely with internal teams and Knight Frank’s regional and global offices to ensure a consistent and compelling brand narrative.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and key opinion leaders across print, digital, and broadcast platforms.
- Prepare, pitch, and secure media coverage for Knight Frank Malaysia’s research, publications, and corporate initiatives.
- Manage all media enquiries and provide timely, accurate, and brand‑consistent responses.
- Monitor and analyze PR performance using tools such as Meltwater to track Share of Voice, PR Value, and overall visibility.
- Draft, edit, and localize press releases, media statements, feature articles, and thought leadership pieces.
- Identify proactive storytelling opportunities based on emerging market trends and Knight Frank’s proprietary data.
- Lead communications planning for report launches, media briefings, and corporate events—including media invites, press kits, and post‑event coverage.
- Manage co‑branded communications with event partners and sponsors.
- Collaborate with Knight Frank’s regional and global PR teams on shared campaigns, statements, and international media opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or media, ideally within the real estate, property, or corporate sectors.
- Existing relationship with business, property, and lifestyle media is highly preferred.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with excellent command of English.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced corporate environment.
- Prior experience in a PR agency or media house will be an added advantage.
- Familiarity with PR analytics and monitoring tools such as Meltwater.
