Public Relations and Corporate Communications Manager

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Public Relations and Corporate Communications Manager to lead strategic communications across XCL Group of Schools including Sri KDU Schools, and REAL Schools.

The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in both external and internal communications, media relations, and reputation management to effectively tell our story and uphold our brand integrity.

Key Responsibilities
Public Relations
  • Develop and execute comprehensive PR strategies to promote XCL Group of Schools and its institutions nationwide.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure positive coverage.
  • Prepare press releases, media statements, and key talking points for public announcements, events, and interviews.
  • Support the CEO and School Principals in managing media engagements.
  • Plan and coordinate press conferences, media visits, and corporate-level events to enhance visibility and brand reputation.
  • Monitor media coverage, public sentiment, and industry trends to identify opportunities and potential risks.
Corporate Communications
  • Lead internal and corporate communication initiatives to ensure clear, consistent, and timely messaging across the organisation.
  • Develop corporate narratives, leadership messages, and internal publications that reinforce organisational culture and values.
  • Support crisis communication planning and execution, ensuring alignment and timely response across stakeholders.
  • Coordinate communication materials for group announcements, partnerships, and leadership engagements.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, HR, and senior leadership to ensure alignment between brand, corporate reputation, and internal engagement.
Performance & Improvement
  • Track and analyse communication effectiveness through relevant KPIs and media metrics.
  • Recommend continuous improvements to enhance reach, clarity, and stakeholder engagement.
