A leading educational institution in Johor is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee all operations, maintenance, and safety across the campus. This role involves developing strategic plans, managing a team, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. Candidates must possess a degree in relevant fields and have 5-8 years of experience, with demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills. Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is essential. Excellent organizational abilities and strong knowledge of building systems are required.
MDIS Malaysia International College – Nusajaya, Johor
To oversee all M&E equipment operations, facilities and building maintenance, as well as renovations.
To plan, establish, direct and coordinate the overall maintenance operations of the Kolej MDIS campus and assets.
To establish operations and maintenance procedures, implement preventive maintenance program and drive improvement program for all facilities.
To plan and develop the overall facilities management budget and be accountable for its execution and control.
To supervise and ensure that all service providers’ works are carried out as stipulated in the service provider’s agreement and improve on their Work Quality / Service Level Agreements.
Provide effective suggestion for the services that required by the Kolej with proper procurement process and paper.
To develop the strategies and action plans pertaining to facilities, security, and safety for the current and future needs of the Kolej.
To coordinate all aspects of Health and Safety and Fire Safety in the Kolej.
Responsible for general supervision and control of organized events, paying particular attention to legislative compliance, including the Health and Safety and welfare of people, the safety of the Kolej’s assets and licensing requirements.
To act as OSH Coordinator/PIC and representing the company in related statutory visitation and audits.
Manage and ensure all data generated throughout facility or received is recorded accurately.
To liaise with relevant Local Authority for licensing renewal and approval.
Measure, monitor and evaluate job performance and competencies of all PMD staff.
To provide leadership and guidance to the Facilities Management staff.
To be an active participant in all management meetings as required by the management.
Performing any other duties as may be assigned by the relevant authorities of the College.
Qualifications, Experiences and Skills:
Possess a degree in the Building Facilities Management / M&E or E&E Engineering or related fields.
Minimum 5 - 8 years’ working experience in similar capacity preferably Education institution or Multi National Company.
Technical
Good working knowledge of high rise building, fire protection, HVAC system, electrical, plumbing, building maintenance and energy saving.
Ability to develop and implement comprehensive goals, strategies and action plan.
PC literate especially in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
Sound knowledge of relevant statutory legislation and local authority regulations.
Must be fluent in both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Demonstrated leadership, team management, effective problem-solving, interpersonal and communications skills.
