1. Job Summary
The Electrical Project Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all on-site electrical installation works to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and project requirements. This role ensures smooth site operations, monitors progress, resolves technical issues, and supports the project team to ensure timely, high-quality project completion.
2. Key Responsibilities
a. Electrical Site Supervision
- Supervise installation of building electrical systems including:
- Lighting & power socket points
- Earthing & lightning protection
- Ensure all installations comply with electrical drawings, SLD, building layouts, and specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure quality and conformity to building standards.
b. Coordination & Site Management
- Coordinate with architects, M&E consultants, main contractor, and ID teams for building electrical coordination.
- Attend site meetings and provide updates on electrical progress.
- Liaise with authorities (if needed) for inspections and compliance.
c. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with OSH standards for building sites.
- Enforce safe electrical installation practices.
- Report electrical hazards or non-compliance issues.
- Monitor material usage for building electrical systems.
- Check material specifications (cables, DBs, switches, conduits, fittings).
- Support testing & commissioning for building electrical systems (lighting, sockets, DBs, continuity test, insulation test).
e. Other Duties
- Ensure electrical works for building projects are completed according to timeline and budget.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
JOB SPECIFICATION (JS)
1. Education & Qualifications
- Minimum Certificate/Diploma in Electrical Engineering/Electrical Technology.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering is an added advantage.
- Certifications such as CIDB, PW2/PW4, or Safety training are advantages.
2. Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years experience supervising building electrical installations.
- Experience with:
- Building LV systems
- Lighting layout & power distribution
- Earthing system
- Familiar with local building codes and electrical authority requirements.
- Fresh graduates in Electrical Engineering / Electrical Technology are encouraged to apply and will be considered for junior-level supervision roles.
3. Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of LV building electrical systems.
- Able to read & interpret SLD, layout plans, lighting & power drawings.
- Knowledge of T&C for building electrical systems.
- Basic AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage.
4. Soft Skills
- Strong leadership and site coordination skills.
- Good communication with consultants, contractors & team members.
- Able to work under tight schedules.
- Good problem-solving skills.
5. Other Requirements
- Willing to work extra hours/site visits.
- Must have valid driving license.
- Responsible and committed to project quality.
