Job summary

Johnson Controls in Malaysia seeks a Safety Officer to oversee site safety, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive health and safety programs across projects.

The role requires a valid Green Book with DOSH, at least 5 years’ experience, strong English and Bahasa communication, and willingness to travel nationwide. You will collaborate with engineering, procurement and operations to meet safety objectives.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Green Book with DOSH.
• Minimum 5 years of Green Book holder experience on construction sites.
• Familiar with safety practices for construction, substations, and environments.
• Strong written English and Bahasa, with good verbal communication.
• Willing to travel nationwide and relocate to client sites.
• Able to multi-task and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Handle and supervise site safety in accordance with OSHA Act and local regulations.
• Ensure all personnel comply with safety requirements at site/office.
• Implement safety procedures per company and client policies.
• Assist in audits by keeping safety documents up to date.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies on health, safety, and security matters.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, procurement and other departments to achieve safety goals.
