Job summary

A leading manufacturer of prefabricated modular solutions is seeking a skilled project scheduler to develop and maintain project schedules in Iskandar Puteri. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, with 2-5 years of experience in the construction or engineering industry. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills are essential for success in this role. A competitive salary within the range of RM 4,000 - 6,000 will be offered.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of planning/scheduling experience in the construction or engineering industry.
  • Proven hands-on experience with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project software.
  • Good understanding of Extension of Time (EOT) procedures and the Critical Path Method (CPM).

Responsibilities

  • Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules.
  • Coordinate closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and recommend actions.
  • Prepare and present project progress reports, including S-curves and histograms.

Company Background:

A leading manufacturer of prefabricated modular data center solutions, specialize in the data center and power systems industry. With R&D facilities in Shanghai and high-end manufacturing plants in Shanghai and Malaysia, it delivers innovative solutions for hyperscale data center projects globally. The company is located in Johor Bahru, and the actual working location is subject to the project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
  • Coordinate closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure schedule accuracy and alignment.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and recommend effective recovery or mitigation plans.
  • Prepare and present project progress reports, including S-curves, histograms, and critical path analysis.
  • Integrate scheduling data with cost and resource plans to support overall project control.
  • Support tender planning activities and prepare baseline programs for new projects.
  • Conduct what-if analyses to evaluate the impact of potential project changes or variations.
  • Ensure all project planning and scheduling activities comply with client requirements and company standards.
Job Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 2 -5 years of planning/scheduling experience in the construction or engineering industry.
  • Proven hands-on experience with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project software.
  • Strong proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Good understanding of Extension of Time (EOT) procedures and the Critical Path Method (CPM).
  • Knowledge of resource loading, progress measurement, and project control principles.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities with cross-functional teams.
  • Able to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and perform well under pressure.
