A construction contractor company based in Shah Alam is seeking a skilled Project Manager/Project Engineer to oversee project activities, implement quality assurance standards, and ensure compliance with regulations. Candidates should have experience in project management and QA/QC within the construction industry. Establish, implement, and maintain departmental SOPs and project procedures.
Oversee and manage all on-site and departmental project activities to ensure timely delivery and adherence to budget.
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to maintain workflow efficiency.
Prepare departmental/business plans, strategies, and Board/Committee/Management papers.
Coordinate with contract department for value engineering study and technical advise on VE exercise.
Monitor project progress and report daily, weekly, and monthly.
Ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental regulations, and organizational standards.
Manage, monitor and report on departmental expenses, including implement tracking system.
Technical checking on specs and drawings; oversee QAQC scope of works.
Supervise and manage on-site construction activities under the guidance of the Project Manager.
Ensure all works are executed according to approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders for smooth workflow.
Monitor project progress and assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
Inspect and verify work quality and materials to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
Assist Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and resolving technical issues.
Control and manage project materials to minimize wastage.
Attend site meetings and provide updates on project progress and site matters.
Ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental regulations.
Liaise with authorities for site inspections, permits, and compliance matters.
Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) procedures on site.
Conduct inspections, audits, and verify construction works comply with project specifications.
Review and approve material submittals, test reports, and inspection documentation.
Identify non-conformances and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Prepare QA/QC reports and liaise with clients, consultants, and authorities regarding quality inspections.
Follow up drawings and documents received from client and coordinate with contract department.
Cross check and monitor on drawing list, EL list and RFI list, need to update from time to time.
To prepare and in charge for material submission.
To highlight and support for RFI.
Report to Project Manager / Director / Contract Manager in HQ.
