Project Manager, Mechanical/Electronic Engineering
A Project Manager from Malaysia working in India will lead and manage the entire lifecycle of mechanical and electronic engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves coordinating with cross‑functional teams, managing project schedules and resources, and serving as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead project teams through all phases: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including scope, budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
- Manage project resources, including manpower, materials, and machinery, ensuring their timely availability.
- Identify project risks and develop and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders, including clients, senior management, and internal departments like Sales, Manufacturing, and Service.
- Oversee the technical aspects of projects, ensuring designs and execution align with engineering requirements.
- Conduct quality control throughout the project lifecycle to maintain standards.
- Conduct regular project meetings and provide progress reports.
- Lead the team to operate the entire project, formulate project plans and time allocation tables, supervise and control the progress of the project throughout all stages.
- Review and monitor the progress of each stage of the project according to project requirements, and coordinate internal work arrangements to meet client needs.
- Discover and solve problems existing in the project process, ensuring the project is completed on time and with quality.
- Follow up on the arrival of project funds, and assist in the timely deposit of project funds at each stage.
- Maintain good cooperative relationships with existing clients, introduce the company's service scope, and strive for business cooperation opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
- Proficient in English and basic Chinese, 5 years of experience in project management, with a strong preference for experience in mechanical or electronic engineering projects.
- Possess excellent communication and presentation skills, and be able to lead a team independently in large‑scale projects.
- Familiarity with HVAC and the electrical installation industry is preferred.
- Have outstanding emergency response and crisis management capabilities.
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar technical drawing software is a plus.
- Knowledge of relevant contracts and laws is beneficial.
