Job Title: Event Project Manager (Sales & Industry Development)

Position Overview:

The Event Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering successful events while also driving business growth through sales and client acquisition. This dual‑role professional oversees the entire event lifecycle — from concept to completion — while meeting revenue targets through proactive client engagement and relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Event Project Management

Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of corporate, brand, and public events.

Develop and manage event timelines, budgets, and production schedules.

Liaise with clients to understand objectives, branding, and key deliverables.

Coordinate with vendors, venues, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure seamless execution.

Oversee event logistics, staffing, equipment, and on‑site operations.

Conduct post‑event evaluations and produce detailed reports to assess success and areas of improvement.

2. Sales & Business Development

Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities in the events and experiential marketing space.

Develop and maintain long‑term client relationships to ensure repeat business and referrals.

Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals tailored to client needs.

Meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals.

Collaborate with marketing teams to generate leads through campaigns and partnerships.

3. Budgeting & Financial Management

Prepare and manage event budgets, ensuring profitability and cost efficiency.

Track expenses, forecast revenue, and report on financial performance.

Ensure adherence to company financial policies and client billing terms.

Work with event coordinators, freelancers, and vendors during project execution.

Work closely with design, marketing, and production teams to ensure alignment with client objectives.

Foster a collaborative and creative work environment.

5. Reporting & Analysis

Maintain a CRM database for all client interactions and sales activities.

Analyze event performance metrics and client feedback to refine processes.

Provide regular progress updates to senior management on project and sales pipelines.

Strong project management and organizational skills.

Proven sales acumen with a track record of meeting targets.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.

Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Strategic thinker with a creative problem‑solving mindset.

Proficient in MS Office, CRM software (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce), and event management tools.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.

3–6 years of experience in event management, with at least 2 years in a client‑facing sales role.

Experience in events, exhibitions, or experiential marketing preferred.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Number of events successfully executed.

Client satisfaction and retention rates.

Sales revenue generated and targets achieved.

Adherence to budgets and timelines.

Compensation:

Base salary + Performance‑based commission and project incentive.
