Job description

What you’ll be doing

• Plan, organize, manage and co‑ordinate site activities to ensure smooth program as per program
• Ensure all site construction are follow strictly to consultant specifications
• Ensure site is safe, including making safety inspections
• Coordinate and supervise construction workers
• Ensure compliance with relevant government regulations, laws, acts and company business ethical standards
• Maintain quality control procedures
• Attend site meeting and report to COO accordingly
• Report any discrepancies of drawing to Chief Operating Officer (COO)
• Liaise with the client, other construction professional and sometimes members of the public
• Negotiate contracts and secure permits and licences
• Review progress and liaise with quantity surveyors to monitor costs
• Plan resources for the project
• Oversee the project’s discretion and ensuring it meets the client’s requirements. This includes planning the project schedule and ensuring it’s handed over on time
• Keep track of the project and ensure it is completed within the deadline.
• Identify, evaluate, assess, control and minimise risk of the project
• Demonstrate strong leadership qualities
• Work with higher management to streamline the project management process

What we’re looking for

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field
• 5 years of relevant project management experience
• Proficiency in using project management software and other relevant tools
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and building codes
• Thorough understanding of construction regulations, safety standards and best practices
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills, with the ability to think critically and adapt to changing circumstances
• Strong leadership, organisational, time‑management skills
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical abilities, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross‑functional teams
