Job Title: Project Manager (Construction)

Location: Johor

(Salary up to: RM225k PA)

Overview

We are looking for a highly driven and experienced Project Manager (Construction) to lead and manage an upcoming development project in Johor. The ideal candidate must possess strong technical expertise in civil engineering and hands‑on experience delivering full construction project cycles, especially for high‑rise or commercial building developments.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, lead, and manage the entire construction project from design, tender, execution to completion and handover.
  • Ensure the project is delivered within scope, budget, timeline, and in accordance with quality and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, and authorities to ensure smooth project progress.
  • Review technical drawings, design proposals, and work method statements for compliance.
  • Manage project budgets, cost control, and progress claims to ensure financial efficiency.
  • Identify risks, resolve site issues, and implement preventive action plans.
  • Monitor construction timelines and report project progress to management.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, local guidelines, and contractual obligations.
  • Lead project meetings, manage documentation, and prepare relevant project reports.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline (preferred).
  • Minimum 5–10 years of experience in building construction projects.
  • Proven track record managing high‑rise or commercial development projects.
  • Strong knowledge in project planning, scheduling, cost control, and technical evaluation.
  • Able to lead cross‑functional project teams and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Familiar with local regulatory practices, building standards, and construction compliance.
  • Excellent problem‑solving, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work based in Johor and oversee daily site operations.
Additional Advantage
  • Experience managing complete project life cycle from start to handover.
  • Familiarity with contract administration (e.g., PAM or other forms of contract).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or registration with BEM is an added advantage.
