Job summary

A leading project management company in Johor Bahru is seeking a skilled project manager to oversee commercial retail and mall management projects. The ideal candidate should have a diploma in Civil Engineering or related fields, with at least 3 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include preparing detailed project plans, tracking progress, and ensuring stakeholder satisfaction. Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required, with Mandarin being a plus. Opportunities for travel may arise, and candidates should be prepared for weekend problem-solving if emergencies occur.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a diploma in a relevant discipline.
• At least 3 years of commercial retail and mall management experience is an advantage.
• Willing to travel outstation.

Job description

Preparing a detailed project plan & schedule with the project milestones, workflow & activities.

Tracking projects and providing regular reports on project progression to the clients, superior and internal team.

Identifying and solving potential risks and issues when arise.

Managing the relationship and communication with the client and all stakeholders, ensuring the project is delivered to their satisfaction and meet the quality standards.

Ensure the appropriate permits and licenses from authorities/ mall management.

Handle any environmental or local community issues that may come up during a project.

Determine the necessary equipment, materials, and manpower needed and keep track of inventory, tools and equipment.

Monitor the site progress, resolve any site issues that arise to ensure project handover on time.

Supervising and inspecting the work as it is carried at work sites from beginning till end.

Ensure to adhere all rules and safety regulations of the clients or commercial.

Job Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Construction Management, Architecture or equivalent.

Candidate have to able to read drawings, such as floorplan

Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia and ability to communicate in Mandarin is an added advantage

Candidates with at least 3 years commercial retail and mall management experience will be added advantage.

Good team player with strong commitment and self-motivated.

Proven ability to prioritize in order to meet deadlines and provide high-quality service to clients.

Willing to travel outstation.
