A leading manufacturing company in Malaysia seeks a Project Manager to lead product and tooling development from concept through production. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, 3-5 years of experience in project management, and strong communication skills. Key responsibilities include overseeing project progress, documentation, and ensuring ISO compliance.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in project management, tooling, or plastic manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or ISO 13485 standards is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Lead product and tooling development projects from concept to production.
  • Plan, schedule, and monitor project progress.
  • Serve as a technical liaison between customers and internal teams.
  • Prepare project-related documents such as BOM and progress reports.
  • Support in quotation preparation and cost improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure customer approvals and ISO documentation requirements are met.
  • Drive continuous improvement across projects.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve technical issues.

  • Lead and coordinate new product and tooling development projects from initial concept through to first mass production.
  • Plan, schedule, and monitor project progress, including mold trials and engineering change implementation.
  • Serve as the main technical liaison between customers and internal teams, addressing design, tooling, and production matters.
  • Prepare project-related documents such as BOM, New Part Information, and progress reports.
  • Support in quotation preparation and cost improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure customer approvals are obtained prior to mass production and all ISO documentation requirements are met.
  • Drive continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives across assigned projects.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve technical issues related to new projects or tooling
about the requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in project management, tooling, or plastic manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or ISO 13485 standards is an added advantage.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic project documentation tools.
