The Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring engineering and construction activities to ensure successful execution of projects. This role involves technical support, site supervision, and coordination between consultants, contractors, and internal teams to achieve project objectives in terms of quality, cost, and timeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and executing project activities.
- Review technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Monitor work progress, ensure quality standards, and report site updates to management.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation including method statements, progress reports, and as-built drawings.
- Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental (SHE) standards at all times.
- Provide technical support to site teams and assist in problem-solving during construction.
- Participate in project meetings, inspections, and testing/commissioning activities.
- Track material usage, equipment deployment, and manpower allocation to ensure efficient resource utilization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline)
- 2–4 years of working experience in engineering and construction projects (industrial, commercial, or infrastructure).
- Good knowledge of construction methods, engineering standards, and project management processes.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to work with multi-disciplinary teams.
