Job summary

A business automation leader is seeking an Application Solutions Engineer in Puchong, Selangor. The role involves designing automation systems, managing projects, and collaborating with clients. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in relevant fields and 3+ years of experience in automation engineering. Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills are essential, coupled with knowledge in PLC programming and industrial protocols. Qualifications

• Experience with IEC 61131-3 basic PLC programming language (Ladder diagram, FB, SFC, ST).
• Fundamental knowledge in Industrial Protocol & Networking such as Profibus/net, Ethernet/IP, Modbus, etc.
• Fundamental knowledge in Industrial Instrumentation such as sensors, transmitters, valves, etc.
• Extensive experience on project execution, site services and commissioning activities.
• 3 years and above working experience preferably in a related field is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop DCS, PLC, SCADA and HMI program.
• Develop documents for project and services.
• Report work progress or status to superior and client.
• Participate in System Testing such as Factory Acceptance test (FAT), and Site Acceptance Test (SAT).
• Travel to client site for system commissioning, service, troubleshooting, meetings.

Job description

Design and develop DCS, PLC, SCADA and HMI program

Designing electrical control cabinets and panels

Develop documents for project and services

Report work progress or status to superior and client

Translates functional requirements to system configuration.

Participate in System Testing such as Factory Acceptance test (FAT), and Site Acceptance Test (SAT)

Travel to client site for system commissioning, service, troubleshooting, meetings

Supervise and manage sub-contractor’s work

Senior

In addition to responsibilities stated above:

Design and develop automation systems

Serves as a technical contact for customers.

Liaise with clients, consultants, authorities and contractors.

Mentor less experienced engineers

Requirements

• Experience with IEC 61131-3 basic PLC programming language (Ladder diagram, FB, SFC, ST)
• Fundamental knowledge in Industrial Protocol & Networking such as Profibus/net, Ethernet/IP, Modbus, etc.
• Fundamental knowledge in Industrial Instrumentation such as sensors, transmitters, valves, etc
• Fundamental knowledge in electrical and schematic diagram.
• Fundamental knowledge in Piping and Instrument Diagram (P&ID)
• Microsoft Office
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronics, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Fresh Graduates are encouraged to apply
• At Least 1-3 Years of working experience preferably in a related field.
• Passion for automation and industrial engineering

Ability to execute job independently

Extensive experience on project execution, site services and commissioning activities

Extensive knowledge and experience in Allen-Bradley/Siemens DCS, PLC, SCADA, and HMI

Extensive knowledge and experience in Plant network architecture

Knowledge in various industry standard such as ISA-88, ISA 101, IEC 61511, etc

3 years and above working experience preferably in a related field is required for this position.
