Responsibility 1: Project Task Allocation and Support
- Participate in new customer audits, confirming the readiness of project documentation.
- Provide TR (Technical Review) technical documents for projects; if necessary, liaise with customers alongside the Commercial team.
Responsibility 2: Project Launch Preparation
- Check project readiness and confirm all project outputs.
Responsibility 3: Project Process Monitoring and Support
- Form a new project team and develop the project schedule/timeline.
- Prepare project capacity evaluation plans and submit them to the Project Manager for review.
- Participate in project weekly meetings and phase review meetings, promptly managing issues & risk prevention for undertaken projects.
- Organize project progress meetings, track the progress of responsible projects, and ensure they remain on track.
- Be responsible for the translation, confirmation, and review activities of customer drawings and technical standards for the project.
- Be responsible for following up on the approval of product packaging specifications and the execution of packaging and transportation evaluation activities for the project.
- Be responsible for effectively following up on the evaluation and approval of purchased part suppliers, feasibility studies, and sample evaluations for the project.
- Monitor project progress, especially the development, production, and acceptance progress of molds, checking alignment with expectations; provide timely feedback and seek support for any anomalies.
- Track the trial production of samples and the entire PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) production process for responsible projects, ensuring they meet expectations; provide timely feedback and seek support for any anomalies.
- Organize and coordinate internal preparations for customer PPAP audits and the audit response.
- Organize and convene project summary meetings at various stages, develop improvement plans, and track their completion.
- Accompany customers during on-site audits at the sample stage.
Responsibility 4: Project Approval/Acceptance
- Track the approval and signing of the PSW (Part Submission Warrant)/internal approval for responsible projects and ensure the timely issuance of documents.
- Be responsible for carrying out project acceptance activities.
Responsibility 5: Mass Production Support
- Be responsible for coordinating and following up on the procurement, trial production, and acceptance activities of backup molds for projects.
- Be responsible for coordinating and following up on customer design change activities, coordinating internal implementation and cut-over.
- Be responsible for monitoring the implementation status of customer VAVE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) initiatives within the factory and providing support.
- Be responsible for coordinating and tracking the development progress of production increase projects, including the arrival status of new equipment, fixtures, etc., and sample submission approval status.
Responsibility 6: Participation in Safety Implementation
- Conduct study sessions, exams, and perform safety duties as required by the company, identifying safety issues & improvements.
Responsibility 7: Personal Development & Coaching
- Be responsible for mentoring junior engineers and checking/guiding the effectiveness of their work. (Applicable to Mid-level and Senior Engineers).
- Participate in internal technical exchange and sharing sessions, contributing to the extraction & standardization/solidification of technical experience.
- Complete temporary tasks assigned by supervisor.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering, or a related field.
- Priority given to those who can communicate in English, Malay, and Chinese.
- Strong command of mechanical design and manufacturing expertise (including blueprint reading and drafting), with basic proficiency in 2D/3D mechanical design software; possesses project management knowledge, familiarity with project management processes, and the ability to independently manage projects.
- Understanding of the IATF 16949 management system, proficiency in APQP, familiarity with VDA 6.3 process audits, and knowledge of core development tools such as APQP, PPAP, SPC, and MSA.
- More than 3 years of experience in project management or within the aluminum die-casting and machining industry. (Excellent fresh graduates can apply, and we provide systematic ability development training).
- Familiarity with aluminum die-casting, die-cast molds, machining, and surface treatment processes.
- Proficient in using software applications such as Microsoft Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong learning ability, high adaptability, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to adapt to overtime work and business travel, with strong stress tolerance.
- Excellent communication, organization, and planning skills.
- Strong overall project control and oversight awareness.
