A leading engineering company in Johor, Malaysia is seeking a Site Engineer to oversee civil, structural, and architectural works. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience in construction supervision and hold a relevant degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. The role involves coordinating with stakeholders, ensuring quality compliance, and monitoring project progress.
The Site Engineer (CSA) is responsible for supervising and managing civil, structural, and architectural works on-site to ensure that the construction activities are carried out in accordance with the approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and timelines. This role ensures coordination between stakeholders and provides technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
Oversee day-to-day execution of civil, structural, and architectural works on-site.
Ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings, method statements, and technical specifications.
Monitor subcontractors’ performance and ensure adherence to schedule, quality, and safety requirements.
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and other disciplines (MEP, finishes, etc.) for smooth site operations.
Attend and participate in site meetings, inspections, and coordination reviews.
Communicate any discrepancies, design issues, or site constraints to the relevant parties for resolution.
Ensure that all materials and workmanship conform to project specifications and approved standards.
Conduct pre-pour, formwork, reinforcement, structural steel, and finishing inspections.
Collaborate with the QA/QC team to resolve any non-conformances and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Assist in preparing work schedules, material requisitions, and look-ahead plans.
Monitor site progress and provide inputs for progress reporting, including tracking daily activities and work quantities.
Identify potential delays and work with planning and project control teams to maintain timelines.
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Architectural Technology.
Professional registration (e.g., PE, CEng, or local equivalent) is an advantage.
3–5 years of relevant experience in construction site supervision for building, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
Experience in managing CSA scope: earthworks, concrete, structural steel, architectural finishes, waterproofing, etc
