Job summary

LF Lansen Sdn Bhd is seeking a Project Engineer/Site Engineer to ensure successful execution of data centre projects. The role involves site supervision, MEP coordination, and close collaboration with clients, subcontractors and internal teams. Work locations include Johor, Cyberjaya, and Klang Valley.

Responsibilities cover drawing reviews, progress tracking, QA/QC, testing, and documentation, with a focus on safety and timely delivery of project milestones.

Responsibilities

• Execute project plans and oversee detailed engineering, drawings, reports, and related documentation.
• Liaise and coordinate with internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
• Track work progress and prepare regular status reports.
• Prepare and submit project reports as required.
• Perform any additional tasks or duties as assigned by your superior.
• Site supervision: supervise daily construction/installation works and ensure works follow approved drawings, specs and method statements.
• MEP coordination: coordinate Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing works; check installation of chilled water piping and HVAC systems.
• Pumps: fire protection, electrical containment, cable trays, generators, UPS systems, data centre cooling equipment.
• Drawing & technical checking: review IFC/shop drawings; check dimensions, levels, routes and equipment locations; identify clashes; prepare RFIs.
• Quality control: inspect materials, ensure installation meets specs; conduct inspections and prepare ITPs; monitor tests.
• Progress monitoring: track daily/weekly progress; compare to schedule; report delays.
• Site coordination: attend site meetings; coordinate with Electrical, Mechanical, Civil and Architectural teams; resolve issues.
• Safety: ensure compliance with HSE; monitor permits, working-at-height, lifting, hot works; stop unsafe work.
• Testing & Commissioning: support testing and commissioning of data centre systems; coordinate start-up and testing; assist with documentation and handover.
• Documentation: prepare daily site reports; maintain inspection/test records; track NCRs/RFIs/MIRs/WIRs and as-builts; assist in handover documents.
• Materials: check material quantities and specs; coordinate delivery and storage; monitor usage and avoid wastage.

As a Project Engineer/Site Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful execution of projects. Location for work at site depends on the project and can be at Johor, Cyberjaya or Klang valley. Your responsibilities include:

• Project Management

Responsibility

  • Identify clashes between MEP and structural/architectural works.
  • Prepare/raise RFI (Request for Information) when there are discrepancies.
• Quality control
  • Inspect materials delivered to site.
  • Ensure installation meets project specifications and standards.
  • Conduct inspections and prepare ITP / inspection requests.
  • Monitor testing such as pressure tests, flushing, leak tests and equipment testing.
• Progress monitoring
  • Track daily and weekly work progress.
  • Compare actual progress against the project schedule.
  • Report delays, site issues and required corrective actions.
• Site coordination
  • Attend site meetings with consultants, main contractor and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate with Electrical, Mechanical, Civil and Architectural teams.
  • Resolve site technical issues quickly.
• Safety
  • Ensure works comply with HSE requirements.
  • Monitor permits, working-at-height activities, lifting works, hot works and confined-space activities.
  • Stop unsafe work when necessary.
• Testing & Commissioning
  • Support testing and commissioning of data centre systems.
  • Coordinate equipment start-up and functional testing.
  • Assist with T&C documentation, commissioning reports and handover.
  • Data centres place heavy emphasis on system reliability and redundancy.
• Documentation
  • Prepare daily site reports.
  • Maintain inspection records, test reports and site instructions.
  • Track NCRs, RFIs, MIRs, WIRs and as-built drawings.
  • Assist in preparing handover documents.
• Materials
  • Check material quantities and specifications against approved materials.
  • Coordinate material delivery and storage. Monitor material usage and avoid wastage.
