Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Terengganu is seeking an Engineering Project Coordinator to manage engineering activities for various projects. The ideal candidate will prepare technical documents, liaise with teams to ensure compliance, and support project handovers. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage engineering activities for assigned projects.
  • Review project specifications and drawings for technical execution.
  • Prepare and review technical documents like method statements and work procedures.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
  • Monitor site progress and ensure compliance with approved standards.
  • Identify technical issues, risks, and propose effective solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE requirements.

Job description

Plan, coordinate, and manage engineering activities for assigned projects to ensure completion within schedule, budget, and quality requirements.

Review project specifications, drawings, and scope of work to ensure accurate technical execution.

Prepare and review technical documents such as method statements, work procedures, schedules, and engineering calculations.

Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Monitor site progress and ensure installation or construction activities comply with approved drawings, procedures, and standards.

Identify technical issues, risks, and deviations, and propose effective engineering solutions.

Review technical submittals, material specifications, and vendor documentation to support procurement activities.

Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, participate in risk assessments, toolbox meetings, and safety inspections.

Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors to resolve technical and execution-related matters.

Prepare progress reports, technical clarifications, variation support documents, and change requests.

Support testing, commissioning, and project handover activities including as-built drawings and final documentation.

Ensure proper project close‑out in accordance with contractual and company requirements.

Prepare proposal/tender and project costing.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field).
