About the role:

Changhuat Plastic Industries (Senai) Sdn Bhd, a leading precision injection moulding and plastic manufacturing company, is seeking a Project Development Executive / Assistant Manager to join our team. This role involves managing project development from tooling to finished product, ensuring quality standards and timely delivery for both local and international clients.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Development Planning

   Coordinate with customers, design, and engineering teams.

   Develop product specifications, timelines, and cost targets.

2. Prototype & Testing

   Coordinate prototyping and iterations.

   Manage performance, functional, and reliability testing.

   Work with QA/QC to ensure compliance and certification for new products/projects.

3. Manufacturing Readiness

   Coordinate tooling fabrication, equipment, and production readiness.

   Source materials and components locally and overseas.

   Manage pilot runs and process validation.

   Evaluate and manage vendors for parts, packaging, or sub-assemblies.

   Negotiate lead times, costs, and quality requirements.

4. Costing & BOM Management

   Finalize Bill of Materials (BOM).

   Collaborate with procurement and finance on cost control.

5. Cross-Department Alignment

   Work with marketing, sales, and logistics teams to ensure launch readiness.

   Prepare product documentation, manuals, and packaging.

   Track project milestones, resolve delays, and manage risks effectively.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in a related field (Engineering, Industrial Design, or equivalent).
