Job Responsibilities
  • Gather and analyze needs from R&D, Quality, and Industrialization teams to define purchasing requirements.
  • Communicate identified needs effectively to Commodity Buyers.
  • Share industrial solutions with a strong focus on cost optimization and purchasing efficiency.
  • Develop project purchasing strategy aligned with group, commodity, and industrial strategies.
  • Support project profitability analysis by providing input on component, labor, investment, and tooling costs.
  • Conduct preliminary supplier consultations to validate cost estimates.
  • Assess purchasing and supplier risks using risk management tools before project approval milestones.
  • Identify and propose new suppliers or technologies to meet emerging project needs.
  • Define and manage the purchasing schedule, coordinating with the Project Manager on overall timelines.
  • Prepare and implement contracts and commitments (NDAs, exclusivity, development, or material agreements).
  • Consult, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers, ensuring alignment with sourcing committee decisions.
  • Coordinate supplier design reviews and monitor supplier capabilities to ensure project cost and capacity compliance.
Requirements
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Engineering or any related field.
  • At least 5 year(s) of hands on purchasing experience in managing projects.
  • Contract & Legal Expertise – Strong knowledge of business laws, contract establishment, and compliance requirements.
  • Purchasing & Negotiation Skills – Proficient in end-to-end purchasing processes, RFQ management, supplier negotiation, and selection.
  • Cost & Economic Analysis – Skilled in cost breakdown (CBD), total cost of ownership (TCO), and economic management (MOQ, batch size).
  • Project & Risk Management – Experienced in project lead-time planning, risk assessment, and supplier relationship management throughout project phases.
  • Technical & Process Knowledge – Familiar with key technologies and industrial processes relevant to project scope.
  • Digital & Analytical Tools – Proficient in SAP, Salesforce, Power BI, PYX4, Audros, and other office/ERP systems for data and process management.
