Job summary

Teach For Malaysia is seeking a capable regional facilitator to oversee the delivery of Program Duta Guru in Malaysia. You will coordinate training, coaching, and mentoring for educators, while collaborating with district and state education offices to drive impact at classroom and systemic levels.

You will report to the Coaching and Support Manager, travel between sites as needed, and contribute to a unified program experience in alignment with national goals and timelines.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of professional experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in any field.
  • Minimum 2 years of classroom teaching experience or experience working with in-service teachers.
  • Experience in coaching, mentoring, or adult facilitation is an advantage.
  • Exposure to STEM education practices and trends is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and facilitate regional training and development activities, including workshops and coaching sessions, with input from local stakeholders.
  • Build collaborative learning culture and peer-to-peer support networks among participants.
  • Monitor and analyse participant progress and impact to identify growth opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with schools and education offices to support participant impact.
  • Collaborate with regional partners and networks to enhance participant growth and coordinate with district/state levels.
  • Ensure smooth execution of administrative/reporting requirements per guidelines.

Reporting Line: Coaching and Support Manager

Role Purpose

Facilitate the effective, aligned, and responsive delivery of Program Duta Guru at the regional level, ensuring participants receive impactful support and development through collaboration with key educational stakeholders , and the broader Program Duta Guru team — enabling the growth of competent STEM educators and leaders for Malaysian classrooms.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Plan and facilitate regional training and development activities, including workshops, and coaching and mentoring sessions, tailored to participants’ evolving needs in collaboration with important local stakeholders such as Duta Guru, SISC+, PSN (Penyelaras STEM Negeri) at district/ state levels.
  • Build and sustain a collaborative learning culture among participants in the region, nurturing professional relationships and peer-to-peer support networks.
  • Monitor, track, and analyse participant progress and impact, using data to identify growth opportunities and address development needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with schools, state and district education offices, and other education stakeholders to ensure participants are supported in driving student and systemic impact.
  • Collaborate with local education partners and regional private sector networks to enhance the professional growth of participants and work in collaboration with key stakeholders at district and state level.
  • Ensure the smooth execution of administrative and reporting requirements, aligned with the Ministry of Education’s guidelines and TFM’s processes.
  • Contribute to a unified and high-quality program experience by working closely with the national Program Duta Guru team, sharing insights and best practices across different regions.

  • Understanding of teaching and learning principles, classroom leadership, and pupil progression.
  • Strong project management, data analysis and contextual reasoning skills to guide strategic support for participants.
  • Clear, confident, and engaging communicator — both written and verbal — in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
  • High adaptability and resilience in navigating fast-paced, evolving, and uncertain environments.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google Suite platforms; open to learning additional systems such as Confluence, Salesforce, and Zoom.
  • Ability to travel independently between work sites, including inter-state or remote areas, as required.
  • Proactive self-starter with the ability to manage multiple streams of work, and independently prioritise tasks
  • Strong desire to learn new things and grow professionally
  • Ability to be adaptable in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, and dynamic environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with all levels of employees and stakeholders
  • Creativity and solution-orientation when addressing challenges in complex regional contexts.
  • Commitment to fostering team culture and participant growth in alignment with Program Duta Guru’s goals.
