Job summary

Colgate-Palmolive in Malaysia seeks a Professional Consulting Veterinarian to join the Professional and Veterinary Affairs team. This role covers a broad range of professional activities, including education for veterinarians and veterinary nurses, content development for Hill’s professional platforms, and site administration to ensure a superior user experience.

Travel up to 50% is required and on-site work is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in veterinary medicine.
  • Current veterinary license and clinically competent.
  • Previous experience in veterinary, pharmaceutical company or Nutrition Company preferred.
  • Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain product knowledge to communicate the superiority and practical use of Hill’s products and services to increase presence, professional endorsement and sales in veterinary practices.
  • Enhance the commercial team’s technical, product, communication and seminar delivering expertise through ongoing training and field coaching.
  • Work closely with Key Customer Manager via educating and implementing initiatives that result in an active Hill’s recommendation from the veterinary healthcare team.
  • Vet School Program execution: Engage with College of Veterinary Medicine faculty, interns, residents and 5th/6th year students.
  • Vet Social Media and digital engagement; Digital content & multimedia editing & adaptation for veterinary, veterinary student, and veterinary nurse professionals, administrate Hill’s professional education sites and social media.
  • Serve on project teams, deliver professional digital engagement, such as webinars, and support Hill’s regional PVA projects as assigned.
  • Working with marketing regulatory and legal to ensure all marketing materials are appropriate, accurate and correctly referenced.
  • Managing Veterinary Consultation Service: Provision of high quality technical support to vets and veterinary nurses; application of detailed.
  • Management of Urolith Analysis Service.
  • Speak at seminars or events when required.
  • Help to plan and participate in customer events, Hill’s exhibition in conferences/shows that will increase product sales and market share.

Job Summary

Professional Consulting Veterinarian (PCV) is part of the Professional and Veterinary Affairs team.

This role covers a broad range of professional activities, including, but not limited to:

  • Educational support for the Veterinary Health Care Team (VHCT); building relationships with and education of veterinarians, Vet Nurse, Key Thought Leaders (KTLs), vet students, and pet retail customers; support for professional associations; engagement with the next generation of veterinary professionals.
  • Creating, adapting and optimizing digital educational & social content for veterinarians, veterinary nurses for Hill’s professional platforms.
  • Expanding the reach of Hill’s professional site for professional and growing veterinarian, veterinary nurse and veterinary student users to the site. Administration of the Hill’s professional site, including trouble‑shooting, uploading content, and ensuring an excellent user experience are included in this role’s responsibilities.
  • Providing support for the Hill’s Customer Development Organization by delivering internal education to sales Territory Managers, providing external education and training to pet and veterinary customers and consumers, and supporting customer and consumer initiatives.
  • Working closely with the Commercial Manager to identify business needs and implement strategies to grow the business.
  • The PCV’s work ensures that Hill’s is known as a scientific, innovative, and credible partner that is engaged with veterinary and pet care professionals to transform the lives of dogs and cats through superior nutrition.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Education / Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree in veterinary medicine.
  • Current veterinary license and clinically competent.
  • Previous experience in veterinary, pharmaceutical company or Nutrition Company preferred.
Expected Areas of Skills
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office, Google tools and ability to learn company specific tools & programs.
  • Must be able to work independently with personal leadership, manage a demanding schedule with irregular hours and manage travel to deliver internal and external customer visits/training; some overnight travel required.
  • Ability to make sound decisions under conditions of uncertainty or complexity.
  • Good interpersonal skills and excellent communication skills (internal and external, all levels).
  • Fluency in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
