Job summary

A food processing company in Penang is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee the production line. Responsibilities include supervising teams to ensure production adheres to quality standards, conducting daily briefings, and troubleshooting issues with processes and equipment. Job description
Responsibilities
  • Supervise line leaders and workers to ensure production meets SOPs and specifications.
  • Ensure production quantity aligns with the planned schedule.
  • Set up machines and lines according to SOPs before each run.
  • Conduct daily briefings with the production team.
  • Identify and request required raw materials and ingredients.
  • Manage manpower allocation efficiently.
  • Verify production output and yield against standards.
  • Monitor CCPs to ensure food safety compliance.
  • Troubleshoot process and equipment issues.
  • Oversee maintenance of equipment and plant facilities.
  • Monitor staff performance and discipline.
  • Participate in new product trials and audits.
  • Acknowledge QC reports and ensure quality compliance.
  • Monitor WIP stock and report to management.
  • Ensure safety compliance in the processing area.
  • Plan and manage rework processes when needed.
  • Share company policies and instructions with QC staff.
  • Handle other tasks as assigned by the superior.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in production supervision, preferably in food processing or manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, Allergen control, and HALAL standards.
  • Ability to manage production processes and lead line staff effectively.
  • Familiar with ERP systems and Globodox.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Understanding of finished product specs and SOPs.
  • Team player with leadership and motivational skills.
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal awareness.
  • Shows initiative, attention to detail, and personal integrity.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Ability to empower and support team members.
