We are looking for an experienced Production Planning Manager to lead the overall planning and scheduling functions within the plant. This role is responsible for optimizing order fulfilment, materials movement, and on‑time delivery while ensuring alignment with the company’s operational strategies, quality standards, and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Master Planning & Production Scheduling
Strategize and lead master production planning, considering capacity constraints (equipment, manpower, raw materials, ingredients, consumables, crates, etc.) to meet sales forecasts and customer orders.
Ensure balanced production loads to optimize order fulfilment and on‑time delivery, working closely with Sales and Demand Planning.
Perform root cause analysis on variances, identify risks/opportunities, and recommend corrective action plans.
2. Operations & Efficiency Optimization
Collaborate with the Production Manager to drive optimal Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
Coordinate with Engineering to ensure equipment availability and timely completion of preventive maintenance.
3. Cross‑functional Collaboration
Engage FP&A for cost evaluations and production cost optimization.
Partner with Marketing to manage inventory effectively and maximize profit through product/SKU mix planning.
Work with HR on workforce optimization, learning initiatives, and manpower planning.
Manage end‑to‑end production scheduling, ensuring optimal workforce utilisation.
Evaluate the cost‑benefit of overtime versus production targets to maintain operational efficiency.
5. Customer Satisfaction, Supplier Performance & Demand Insights
Monitor customer requirements, supplier performance, and actual production output to ensure customer satisfaction.
Continuously update planning based on demand variations impacting raw materials, production capacity, and overall operations.
6. Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence
Drive improvements in production planning processes to build a lean, streamlined, and efficient value chain.
Propose and implement initiatives that enhance productivity and overall plant profitability.
7. Additional Responsibilities
Perform any other tasks or assignments as directed by management.
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
7–8 years of relevant experience in production planning, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
Strong analytical, planning, and cross‑functional coordination skills.
Experience in capacity planning, scheduling systems, and continuous improvement methodologies is an advantage.
