Job Summary

The Production Planner is responsible for developing, coordinating, and monitoring production schedules to ensure smooth manufacturing operations, on‑time delivery, and optimal utilization of resources. This role acts as a key link between production, procurement, warehouse, and sales teams to align material availability, capacity planning, and customer demand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and production capacity.
  • Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and logistics to ensure raw material and component availability.
  • Monitor work‑in‑progress and adjust schedules proactively to meet changing priorities or unexpected delays.
  • Communicate production plans and updates to relevant departments (sales, quality, production, site, and delivery teams).
  • Liaise with process engineers to optimize production efficiency by minimizing downtime, setup time, and material shortages.
  • Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, variances, and improvement opportunities.
  • Support inventory management by balancing production output with demand and stock levels.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning accuracy.
  • Prepare regular reports on production performance, forecast accuracy, and capacity utilization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing coordination.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (preferably SAP).
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills across departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and data analysis capabilities.
Skills
  • Experience in lean manufacturing or process optimization.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality management systems.
  • Familiarity with capacity planning and material requirement planning (MRP).
  • Ability to generate reports and documents for process improvement activities.
  • Experience providing training for process improvement initiatives.
EMS Responsibilities
  • Understand and uphold the company’s Environmental Policy and EMS.
  • Communicate and report environmental matters to the Superior / EMR / EHS Officer.
  • Know actions to take in normal, abnormal, and emergency environmental situations.
  • Participate in environmental training, programs, and audits.
  • Understand the environmental impact of work and take responsibility to mitigate it.
  • Conserve natural resources including water, energy, and paper.
