Job description

Manage overall productions and is responsible for the effective and successful management of manpower, productivity & people’s efficiency, and enforcement of safety measures.

Manage and ensuring adequate capacity and resources (machines, equipment, manpower etc.) are in place to ensure operation compliance as well as meeting the planned schedule/output.

Recruit, select, train, assign, coach, counsel, discipline and ensure competency and empowerment of operators, machinist, planner, technicians and supervisor/line leader in carry out their responsibilities effectively.

Enhance and ensure effectiveness of QMS compliances, operational procedures, and principles in the areas of information flow and management, business processes, management reporting and drive opportunities for continuous improvement.

Drive strategic plans and KPI reviews of operational excellence; prepare and complete action plans, productivity, quality, resolve problems, audits requirement and identify trends.

Develop, implement, enforce and evaluate operation systems; material WIP, equipment utilization.

Implement changes and improve organizational process and workflow, facilities space requirement, and equipment layout.

Direct and assign duties for operation personnel' schedules and authorized overtime and control as necessary to meet production schedules.

To coordinate and ensure effective CA implementation throughout the operation.

Identify, develop and manage manufacturing sub-contracting works.

Ensuring the promotion of customer focus throughout the organization. Communicate customer issues with operations team, resolve problems and complaints.

Participate in monthly operation meeting & yearly management review meeting.

Responsible for all aspects of facilities upkeep, ensuring proper equipment maintenance.

Establish waste management control.

Organizes and promote company-wide improvement efforts.

To ensure effective part identification, product preservation and traceability throughout the product realization cycle.

Involved organization risk identification meeting to ensure proper risk management.

Work closely with Supply Chain Manager and team to perform analysis of inventory and utilizing inventory effectively.

Ensure 5S, work safety within the organization.

Involved in contract review in assessing the product risk and requirement.

Responsible in reviewing and approving ECN raised by Engineering.

Ensure proper use of Production stamp which fall under stamp control process.

Prepare, manage and review annual budget, schedule expenditures, analyse variances in collaboration with top management.

Manage staff levels, wages, hours, contract labor to revenues.

Maintain a safe, injury/accident-free workplace.

Education & Qualification

Minimum bachelor’s degree in Engineering or mechanical field and with Minimum 5 years working experience in manufacturing / Operation environment.

Experience

Experienced in Production & planning & scheduling.

Experienced in GMP, LEAN Management.

Experienced in Machine shop operation and management.

Experienced in resources and people management.

Experienced in working with group of management / Senior management.

Knowledge

Knowledge in Aerospace and Industrial standard - AS9100 & ISO 9001.

Appropriate understanding of engineering, machining & product requirement

Knowledge in FIFO, JIT, machining processes.

Skills

1. Strong computer literacy skill with include Microsoft office application.

2. Good judgement and capable in making decisions in complex, challenging and sensitive situations.

3. Excellent verbal communication & leadership skill.

4. Good understanding in internal QMS related processes and its interaction.

Abilities

1. Ability to understand, track, drill-down and question activities and issue and make sound operational decision upon data gathered.

2. Strong leadership, people and communication skills

3. Ability to identify and manage conflict and sensitive issues to achieve positive outcome with degree of probity, integrity and confidentiality.

4. Ability in decision making that always protect product safety and ensuring product conformity to all the requirement.

5. Ability in coordinate with internal and external service provider in ensure operation smoothness.
