The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations of paper-based packaging products (e.g., folding cartons, rigid boxes, paper bags, corrugated packaging). This role ensures production efficiency, quality consistency, on‑time delivery, and cost‑effectiveness while driving continuous improvement across all departments.
1. Production Planning & Execution
Plan and schedule production to meet customer orders and delivery deadlines.
Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machines, and materials.
Monitor production workflow and resolve bottlenecks.
2. Operations & Process Management
Oversee key processes such as printing, laminating, die‑cutting, folding, gluing, and finishing.
Ensure proper machine setup, safe operation, and preventive maintenance.
Implement lean manufacturing practices to improve throughput and reduce downtime.
3. Quality & Compliance
Collaborate with QA team to maintain high product quality standards.
Ensure compliance with ISO, FSC, food packaging safety, and other customer/industry requirements.
Drive initiatives to minimize waste, rework, and defects.
Lead, motivate, and develop production supervisors, line leaders, and operators.
Provide training and skill development for continuous improvement.
Promote workplace discipline, teamwork, and safety culture.
Monitor and control production costs, raw material usage, and efficiency KPIs.
Propose cost‑saving and process improvement projects.
Recommend new technologies and machinery investments to enhance competitiveness.
6. Reporting & Coordination
Prepare and analyze daily/weekly/monthly production reports.
Coordinate with planning, procurement, warehouse, QA, and sales teams for smooth workflow.
Participate in management reviews and contribute to business strategy.
Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Manufacturing, Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Paper Technology, or related field.
Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in production management within paper packaging or printing industry.
Strong technical knowledge of paper packaging production processes and machinery.
Proven leadership in managing large teams and multiple production lines.
Familiar with Lean, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Excellent problem‑solving, decision‑making, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Mandarin to communicate with HQ at China
Strong leadership and people management.
Results‑oriented with a focus on quality and efficiency.
Good communication and cross‑department coordination.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
