A reputable manufacturing firm in Johor seeks a Production Manager to oversee all aspects of manufacturing processes. The role involves managing production schedules and teams, enforcing quality controls, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The company operates its own production facilities with strict quality control, certified standards, and a strong focus on product innovation and sustainability. It serves both local and international markets, supplying to residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The Production Manager oversees all aspects of manufacturing processes, ensuring efficient production while meeting quality, safety, and cost targets. This role requires strong leadership to optimize workflows, manage teams, and drive continuous improvement in a fast‑paced environment.
1. Production Planning & Execution
Develop and meet production schedules, ensuring on‑time delivery of products.
Monitor daily output, adjust resources (labor, materials, equipment) to meet demand.
Implement lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
2. Team Management
Lead, train, and motivate production supervisors and line workers.
Conduct performance reviews and address productivity or behavioral issues.
3. Quality & Compliance
Enforce strict quality control standards (e.g., ISO, SIRIM) and troubleshoot defects.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.
4. Cost & Inventory Control
Manage production budgets and reduce operational costs without compromising quality.
Oversee raw material inventory and coordinate with procurement/supply chain teams.
5. Maintenance & Safety
Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment uptime and preventive maintenance.
Promote a culture of safety through training, audits, and incident investigations.
Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or related field.
Experience: 5+ years in production management (industry‑specific experience preferred).
Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), MS Office, and production software.
Soft Skills: Leadership, problem‑solving, communication, and conflict resolution.
