Job description
Responsibilities

Oversee the end-to-end production processes across all plants, from poultry slaughtering to finished goods packaging.

Ensure all production activities meet company standards for quality, safety, hygiene, and compliance, particularly with Halal certification requirements.

Optimize production schedules to ensure timely and complete order fulfilment.

Lead, mentor, and supervise production manager and broader production teams across both facilities.

Set clear performance targets, monitor progress, and ensure accountability.

Foster a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Performance Optimization & Cost Efficiency

Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) by minimizing downtime, improving throughput, and enhancing product quality.

Implement Six Sigma or other lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste, improve process efficiencies, and lower operational costs.

Make cost‑efficient production decisions, such as optimizing product mix (e.g., types of chicken parts) to increase profit margins.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

Ensure compliance with all regulatory, food safety, and Halal certification requirements.

Maintain the highest standards of plant cleanliness, hygiene, and biosecurity.

Oversee internal audits, inspections, and corrective actions as needed.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Liaise effectively with other departments such as Maintenance, Halal, Quality Assurance, Farm, Logistics, and Sales to ensure smooth coordination.

Communicate regularly with senior management on production performance, challenges, and improvement plans.

Identify and implement new technologies, processes, or practices that enhance productivity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

Lead projects aimed at process innovation, automation, or plant modernization.

Resource & Budget Management

Manage production budgets, labour, and material resources effectively.

Monitor and control production costs to stay within budget while meeting output and quality target.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Food Science / Technology, Manufacturing / Production Management, or other related fields.

Experience

More than 8 years in production management – experience in food manufacturing, poultry processing, or the FMCG industry is a plus.

At least 3–5 years in a senior leadership or multi-plant management role.

Experience in Halal-compliant or regulatory-driven production environments is a strong advantage.
