Job summary

Johnson Matthey in Nilai, Malaysia, is seeking a Production Line Operator for a 6-month, onsite role. The incumbent will perform low-complexity tasks under close supervision, with training provided, and aim to support safe, efficient manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities include abiding by 5S, health and safety, quality criteria, and customer specs; maintaining housekeeping; and assisting other departments as required.

Qualifications

• The person must possess at least SPM or equivalent
• Ensure smooth and efficient manufacturing process to meet both internal and external requirements of the Company.
• Ability to work in chemical based industry
• Basic knowledge about 5S
• Exposed to 24/7 hours manufacturing process.
• Good PC skills especially MS Excel and able to do fundamental Mathematics

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe working practices, health and safety, environmental, housekeeping (5S) and quality procedures are adhered to at site.
• The Production Operator is responsible to ensure that their production activities are carried out according to Defect Criteria and meeting Customer Specification.
• Ensure production activity assigned are followed and completed according to superior’s instruction thus meeting efficiency and downtime targets.
• To action / do any other duties which are within the employee’s skill and activities reasonably instructed.
• Duties and responsibilities will be extended to other departments as and when required.
