Responsibilities: Handling, storage, documentation and control of scheduled poisons, psychotropic and dangerous drugs. Organise and supervise manufacturing processes.
A Role With Real Ownership
We're looking for a Registered Pharmacist to take a hands‑on role on our production floor.
Whether you're already in manufacturing and looking for a move with more ownership and a clearer path forward, or you're a pharmacist wanting to step into industry, this role offers something a large company often can't: broad responsibility and genuine authority, in a lean, high-trust team where your work directly shapes the product.
You'll oversee GMP production, hold the company's poison license, sign off batch records, and support our compounding pharmacy.
What You'll Do
Registered Pharmacist Responsibilities
- Act as the company's Type A Poison License holder, responsible for scheduled poisons, psychotropic and dangerous drugs (handling, storage, documentation and control).
- Maintain active registration with the Pharmacy Board Malaysia (PBM) and submit the annual certificate upon renewal.
- Oversee compounding pharmacy activities carried out under veterinarian prescription, in line with SOPs.
Production & GMP
- Organise and supervise manufacturing processes to ensure full compliance with cGMP / PIC/S requirements.
- Verify critical processing steps (dispensing, fill weight, pH, final volume) and in-process quality control.
- Oversee dispensing of materials, enforce FIFO, and inspect packaging materials and product specifications.
- Troubleshoot line issues and drive improvements for quality, yield and efficiency.
- Highlight and document any non-conformance or deviation during processing.
Documentation
- Review and sign off Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs), ensuring correct reconciliation of materials, labels, yields and losses.
- Develop and revise SOPs, forms and checklists as needed.
Equipment, Facility & Team
- Approve rooms and equipment prior to production use, and perform line clearance and housekeeping checks after.
- Support equipment calibration, qualification and validation with Engineering and QA.
- Help plan manpower, train production staff, and promote a safe, disciplined and positive working environment.
Others
- Support internal ISO and GMP audits, and assist during external audits.
- Cover for senior production staff when required.
Requirements :
- Registered Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board Malaysia (RPh / Fully Registered Pharmacist), or completing full registration soon.
- Willing and eligible to be appointed as the company's Type A Poison License holder.
- Knowledge of cGMP / PIC/S and Malaysian pharmacy law.
We'd love to hear from you if you:
- Have experience in pharmaceutical / GMP manufacturing and want a move with more ownership and a clearer path forward - or are a pharmacist from another background keen to step into industry.
- Enjoy hands‑on work, variety, and real responsibility rather than a single routine function.
