Virtuos Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Production Director to helm production efforts, guiding projects to delivery on time and on budget. You will oversee studio projects, mentor producers, and collaborate with diverse teams to align with the overall product vision for multiple titles with high-profile clients.

You will lead growth of the production team, manage risks, and set best practices in planning, tracking, and reporting.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of senior-level experience in AAA game production, including a full development cycle.
• Proven ability to lead senior/executive stakeholders and cross-disciplinary teams.
• Strong accountability and contribution to a creative environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with client relationship experience a plus.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving in complex scenarios.
• Deep knowledge of project management practices including SCRUM and Agile.
• Able to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Desire to foster a dynamic, collaborative team environment.
• Natural inclination to lead and mentor a team.
• Technical understanding of the games industry and development processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and strengthen the Production team and guide growth in a dynamic studio.
• Oversee projects with Producers to identify risks and craft contingency plans.
• Support Producers in setting milestones and realistic production schedules.
• Communicate project progress to senior management and clients, assessing risk.
• Set best practices for planning, tracking, and reporting across studio operations.
• Coach the team on change management and keeping scope within time and budget.
• Mentor junior Production staff with tracked schedules and ownership.
• Collaborate with Design, Engineering, QA, Art and Animation to inform operations.
• Oversee performance reviews and KPI tracking for the department.
• Build trust with client teams, development teams, and business teams.
• Pivot to master proprietary tools and processes within Virtuos and partner studios.
• Monitor market trends and competitive products.
