Job summary

A manufacturing company located in Klang City is seeking a dedicated individual for managing the Bill of Materials (BOM) and overseeing assembly processes. The role involves monitoring inventory, coordinating with engineers, and ensuring timely supply of parts to the assembly team. Candidates should possess at least a diploma in manufacturing, along with strong computer and communication skills. Flexibility and the ability to multitask under pressure are essential.

Qualifications

  • Experience in clerical, production or manufacturing support role is an advantage.
  • Flexibility to work overtime if required by production schedule.

Key Responsibilities
Bill of Materials (BOM) Management
  • Ensure timely receipt of items based on BOM.
  • Monitor and manage variations between BOM and actual panel requirements.
  • Coordinate with engineers and designers to resolve any BOM variations.
Material Planning & Procurement
  • Plan and track raw material availability, including cables and accessories.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and store to prevent shortages.
Assembly Process Scheduling
  • Update assembly progress.
  • Identify and report potential risks that could affect on-time delivery.
  • Coordinate with PPC to ensure the latest updates on schedule changes and support the manager in handling the impact.
Tool & Equipment Management
  • Monitor assembly tools and equipment usage.
  • Report tooling needs or replacements required for smooth operations.
Assembly Store Management
  • Maintain records of inventory for assembly-related items.
  • Ensure timely supply of parts and materials to the assembly team.
Others
  • Other duties and tasks given by management from time to time.
Requirements
  • Minimum SPM / Diploma in Manufacturing
  • Prior experience in clerical, production or manufacturing support role is an added advantage
  • Computer literacy – Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Good communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure to meet production timelines
  • Organized, disciplined, and responsible in handling production documents
  • Flexibility to work overtime if required by production schedule
