Job Description
- Identify, evaluate, and select suitable suppliers to support new projects
- Ensure competitive pricing, low minimum order quantities, and short lead times
- Source new suppliers for diverse customer RFQs
- Collaborate with sales and engineering to align product specifications with supplier capabilities
- Manage RFQ processes through SAP and offline channels, including negotiations
- Maintain accurate pricing records in SAP
- Build and sustain strong supplier relationships
- Carry out additional tasks as assigned by the company
The Successful Applicant
A successful Product Sourcing Specialist should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in supplier development (industrial products background preferred)
- Knowledge of fastening materials, C-parts, MRO, or related products (advantageous)
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Familiar with international sourcing and import/export regulations
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings (added advantage)
