Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering is mandatory.
  • Good knowledge of PCBA processes such as screen printing, reflow profiling, manual insertion, and wave soldering.
  • Strong SPC and communication skills required.
  • Familiarity with Surface Mount Technology is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with factory technical staff and corporate engineering.
  • Responsible for machine utilization and downtime improvement.
  • Lead NPI process development and tooling preparation.
  • Conduct qualification and validation activities for processes.
  • Create and implement new product process flows.
  • Ensure manufacturability of new products.
  • Support and improve existing manufacturing flows.
  • Qualify and implement new manufacturing technologies.
  • Develop assembly process work instructions.
  • Maintain and improve assembly process yield and defect rates.
  • Resolve problems and develop corrective actions for processes.

Responsibilities
  • The process engineering position at the site is to interface with the factory technical staff and with corporate engineering to define opportunities for standards development and cost savings. This role is typically focused on high complexity manufacturing processes and is key to the standardization and advancement of the processes in Plexus.
  • Responsible for machine utilization and downtime improvement efforts.
  • Lead NPI (New Production Introduction) process development DoE and support, tooling preparation with NRE plan.
  • Lead Process Qualification and Validation activities.
  • New product process flow creation and implementation.
  • Ensures manufacturability of new products and ensures customer requirements are built into their product using APQP, process control, SPC & PFMEA tools.
  • Supports and improves existing manufacturing flow, systems, create and buyoff new process procedure.
  • Qualifies and implements new manufacturing technologies process.
  • Develop assembly processes work instructions, procedures and process control plans for new products DPMO review with Process owner-SMT, PTH, Wave.
  • Maintain and improve assembly process yield and defect DPMO.
  • Interfaces with multiple functions and customers to resolve problems, respond to customer complaints, develop corrective actions, develop new products, and improve existing processes.
  • Thermal profile and program development, machine recipe and parameter creation.
  • Additional duties as assigned by management.

  • Good SPC and communication skills
  • Good exposure with Surface Mount Technology (SMT) is an added advantage
