Boost Bank is seeking a Product Owner in the Lending team to build and scale its SME lending portfolio, covering SME Term Financing, Revolving Credit and other business lending solutions, with scope to contribute across the wider retail lending portfolio.
You will own defined product areas end to end, collaborating with engineering, design, credit, risk, operations, and marketing to bring products to market, and to drive STP, research, and go-live readiness.
As a Product Owner within the Lending team, you will help build and scale Boost Bank's lending portfolio in a digital-first environment. Your primary focus will be SME Lending covering products such as SME Term Financing, Revolving Credit, and other business lending solutions with scope to contribute across the wider retail lending portfolio, as business priorities evolve. You will own defined product areas end to end, working with engineering, design, credit, and risk teams to bring products to market.
Own defined product areas within the lending roadmap end to end, from problem definition through to launch and post-release optimisation
Write and manage product backlogs, user stories, and acceptance criteria, ensuring they meet customer and business needs
Work day to day with engineering, design, and operations teams to deliver features on time and to quality
Lead UAT planning, test scenario preparation, and go-live readiness for product releases
Bring fresh thinking to the borrowing journey, actively identify friction points, manual workarounds, and opportunities to simplify
Conduct customer, partner, and internal user research, and translate findings into product opportunities
Benchmark competitor and regional lending propositions and surface ideas worth testing
Drive Straight-Through Processing (STP) by identifying steps that can be automated, removed, or redesigned
Track and report on product performance across conversion, approval rates, time-to-cash, and drop-offs
Act as a point of contact for product areas across the Bank and coordinate with Credit, Risk, Compliance, Operations, Marketing, and Tech teams
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
2–4 years of experience in product management, business analysis, digital delivery, banking, or fintech
Exposure to lending, credit, or SME banking is an advantage but not essential; the domain can be learned on the job
Comfortable with data; able to work with numbers, spot patterns, and build a case with evidence
Curious and questioning by nature, with the confidence to challenge existing processes constructively
Strong written and verbal communication, and able to work effectively across cross-functional teams
Self-starting and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
