We are looking for a Product Manager (IM direction) to take full ownership of the “MaLiao” Instant Messaging product, overseeing overall product planning, functional design, and delivery. This is a core position within the company that requires strong technical understanding, project management capability, and user‑centric thinking.
You will be responsible for connecting user needs, technical feasibility, and business goals, driving the product from conception to launch and continuous iteration.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Planning & Requirement Management
- Define product roadmap and version plans in alignment with company strategy and business direction.
- Deeply understand chatting, social, and subscription-based business models (e.g., 1-on-1 chat, group chat, friend relationships, self-destruct messages, message cards, etc.) and propose optimization solutions.
- Collect user feedback, conduct competitive analysis, and deliver high-quality PRD documents, user flows, and interaction specifications.
2. Project Management & Cross‑Team Collaboration
- Work closely with Frontend, Backend, UI, and QA teams to ensure on‑time, high‑quality delivery.
- Promote consistency across multi‑end platforms (PC / H5 / App).
- Track development progress, conduct testing and validation, and ensure milestones are well controlled.
3. User Experience & Data Analysis
- Build and maintain user behavior and conversion data analysis frameworks (retention, engagement, message delivery rate, etc.).
- Regularly produce analytical reports and actionable optimization insights.
- Drive UX improvements and monetization‑related features (e.g., membership, subscriptions, value‑added services).
4. Internal Process & Product Documentation
- Establish and standardize internal processes for product reviews, requirement changes, and version iterations.
- Maintain comprehensive product documentation, including requirements, wireframes, release logs, and retrospective reports.
Requirements
- Familiarity with IM, social, or productivity tool products; prior experience in instant messaging, group chat, or subscription products is a plus.
- 3+ years of product management experience with proven ability to lead a product from 0 to 1 or manage core feature iterations.
- Proficiency with product design and management tools such as Figma, Axure, Notion, Jira, etc.
- Strong technical literacy and effective communication with developers (understanding of WebSocket, message queues, and push mechanisms is preferred).
- Clear logic, resilience under pressure, self‑driven, and results‑oriented.
- Fluent in Chinese (primary working language); good English reading and writing ability.
- Preference given to Malaysia‑based candidates or those able to work on‑site.
Additional Notes
This position requires a solid understanding of both social product experiences and tool‑product logic, balancing technical feasibility with user experience.

- Multi‑account systems / Tab‑based concurrent logins
- Message status mechanisms (delivered / read / self‑destruct)
- Account security systems (registration, banning, risk control)
- Membership and subscription (including Apple IAP)
- Unified product design across PC and Mobile platforms
