Job summary

MRD in Kulai, Malaysia seeks a dedicated engineer to drive product development from concept to mass production. You will review drawings, coordinate with manufacturing and QA, and maintain essential engineering documents. The role requires problem-solving skills and CAD proficiency to support prototypes and process improvements.

Fresh graduates with relevant engineering backgrounds are welcome. Strong analytical and communication abilities will help you succeed in a collaborative environment

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Experience in product engineering, manufacturing or precision engineering will be an advantage.
• Fresh graduates with relevant engineering background may also be considered.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of problem-solving tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, FMEA and SPC is an advantage.
• Good analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and coordinate with different departments.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD/SolidWorks or other CAD software would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for product development and engineering activities from new product introduction to mass production.
• Review customer drawings, specifications and technical requirements.
• Coordinate with customers, production, QA, tooling and other departments on product-related issues.
• Prepare and maintain engineering documents such as drawings, BOM, specifications and work instructions.
• Support prototype, trial production and product validation activities.
• Conduct product and process analysis to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Support engineering changes and product improvement activities.
• Monitor product quality and ensure products meet customer and company requirements.
• Support new product transfer from development to production.
• Participate in cost reduction, productivity and continuous improvement projects.
• Provide technical support to production and troubleshoot product-related problems.
