Changhuat Plastic Industries (Senai) Sdn Bhd, a leading precision injection moulding and plastic manufacturing company, is seeking a Project Development Executive / Assistant Manager to join our team. This role involves managing project development from tooling to finished product, ensuring quality standards and timely delivery for both local and international clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing new products, engineering changes, replacement tooling and supplier resource activities from an NPI perspective.
• Generating and coordinating the timing plans with the customers and internal teams and sharing them with the customers.
• Managing the customers in identifying the frozen design and purchase order coverage to meet the phased build requirements throughout a programme.
• Managing the development and execution of quality activities for new product introduction, using APQP, PFMEA and SPC to ensure all requirements are met on time.
• Producing full manufacturing process flows with support from internal team.
• Devising measurement strategies with the manufacturing teams and advising on in‑process inspection methods.
• PPAP submission to customers to obtain approval.
• Reviewing 3D CAD and 2D drawings with internal team, suppliers and customers.
• Analysis of new products and processes using CPK.
• Liaising with customers and suppliers on new projects.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Competencies

• Degree in a related field (Engineering, Electrical and Electronics, Assembly Process or Manufacturing Engineering) or equivalent years of related working experience.
• Good understanding of 3D CAD and 2D engineering drawings with strong PC skills including Microsoft Project knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and recognised QC tools.
• Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO9001, TS16949 and IAFT Quality core tools trained.
• Good risk management ability, financial and commercial acumen.
• Understanding of GD&T, SPC‑Cpk/Ppk would be beneficial.
• MSA product/process audit experience and problem‑solving tools.
• Understanding of dimensional reports, engineering specifications, material and performance test results.
