Your Job

As a Product Design Engineer in our team, you will be responsible for supporting the seamless transition of our products to the production facility, implementing and designing product extensions and also the design of new products. This role demands a proactive and independent professional who takes ownership of tasks and collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, marketing, and quality.

What You Will Do
  • Collaborate with the design center to manage products in a production state, evaluate change requests, and maintain engineering documentation.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to the production team during assembly to ensure smooth operations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production-related issues remotely, minimizing manufacturing disruptions.
  • Partner with manufacturing engineering to identify and implement process improvements targeting efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality.
  • Work with design teams to implement changes that enhance manufacturability without compromising product integrity.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of production processes for clarity and consistency.
  • Deliver training and guidance to production staff on new processes, techniques, and product specifications.
  • Collaborate with the quality control team to uphold high-quality standards throughout production.
  • Conduct regular quality audits and implement corrective actions as required.
  • Engage closely with cross-functional teams such as design, manufacturing, and quality to ensure smooth production workflows.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of modern connector assemblies and related manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with experience in Failure Analysis and Root Cause Analysis techniques (e.g., 8-D, 5-Why).
  • Proficient in engineering software tools used for documentation.
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to work collaboratively as part of a global team.
What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Prior experience in production or manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiency with Siemens NX, Solidworks and TeamCenter CAD software.
  • Knowledge of ASME Y14.5 Dimensioning and Tolerance standards.
  • Exposure to Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing processes.
