PlayStation Studios’ International Production & Localization (IPL) team plays a vital role in delivering high-quality gaming experiences to players across Asia. Based in Tokyo and Malaysia, the team works closely with development studios, QA, Marketing, and PR to ensure that each title is thoughtfully localized to meet the cultural and linguistic expectations of regional players. By combining global quality standards with deep local insight, IPL helps PlayStation titles resonate with diverse audiences throughout the region.

Producer

PlayStation Studios’ International Production & Localization (IPL) team is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Producer to support our efforts in delivering exceptional, culturally relevant localized experiences to players across Asia.

This role is deeply involved in the production and publishing lifecycle of localized content. The successful candidate will manage multiple localization projects and coordinate closely with internal stakeholders, including Marketing and PR, to ensure high-quality releases tailored for Asian markets.

Responsibilities

  • Manage localization projects from planning through to release, ensuring quality, timeliness, and budget alignment.
  • Liaise with internal teams (IPL, Development, QA) to understand project needs and localization requirements.
  • Support the publishing process by coordinating localization assets and managing key milestones.
  • Partner with Marketing and PR teams to ensure alignment on regional campaigns and communication strategies.
  • Provide market insights on cultural sensitivities, player expectations, and regional risk mitigation to support publishing success.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years' experience in the PC, console or mobile gaming industry in a production capacity.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives across time zones.
  • Experience and interest in the latest software tools and AI technology, including CAT tools such as MemoQ and product/bug management tools such as JIRA.
  • Competence with the MS Office Suite and good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of Asian markets (e.g., Japan, China, Korea) and awareness of regional content requirements.
  • Fluency in English and Chinese (Traditional and/or Simplified) - exceptional command of both languages (verbal and written) is essential. The ability to also speak and write in Japanese is advantageous but not a requirement. Strong English-to-Chinese translation and editing skills will be considered a plus.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • A passion for games as well as knowledge of the Asian and global gaming markets.
