A leading private educational institution in Negeri Sembilan is looking for an individual to assist in procurement and project management for various engineering projects. Responsibilities include site inspections, reviewing technical proposals, and ensuring construction quality meets standards. Candidates must hold at least a Diploma in Engineering with 1-2 years of experience, and be proficient in English and Malay. The role requires good communication skills and the ability to work independently.
Assist in handling procurement related to various campus engineering projects (e.g., renovation, upgrades, maintenance, new construction)
Assist in reviewing technical proposals and quotations from vendors, providing professional judgment to avoid being misled
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor quality and project progress
Assist in evaluating the technical feasibility and execution effectiveness of projects to ensure construction quality meets required standards
Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with the engineering team and vendors
Assist in preparing and archiving project procurement documents and reports
Minimum a Diploma in Engineering, Building, Civil Engineering, or related fields (Diploma/Degree preferred)
At least 1-2 years of relevant working experience (preferably in engineering projects, construction sites, or facility maintenance)
Familiarity with construction materials, construction processes, or project costing is an advantage
Ability to independently track project progress and make basic quality assessments
Good communication and coordination skills
Proficient in English and Malay, able to communicate in Chinese
Diligent, detail-oriented, hardworking, and willing to conduct frequent site visits
