Job description
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for all procurement activities (Metal, Non Metal and Import Logistics).
  • Sourcing, vetting, and managing relationships with metal suppliers, mills, and service centers.
  • Negotiating purchase agreements and contracts, often with a focus on cost savings and long-term supply agreements.
  • Minimize risk exposure in supply and service contracts and maximize opportunities in operations through supplier management.
  • Ensure that goods and services are supplied on time via acceptable terms and conditions.
  • Lead and develop high-performing purchasing and cost estimating teams to achieve objectives and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead and to ensure all purchases are manage via best practices according to Corporate, Company and Government Policies and to the best interest of the company and its stakeholders.
  • Analyzing market trends, pricing, and supply chain dynamics for various metals, such as steel, aluminum, and others.
  • Identify potential suppliers, conduct vendor interviews, negotiate agreements, and manage contracts.
  • Establish departmental objectives and assess direct reports' performance against KPIs.
  • Provide reports on target achievements and recommend necessary actions.
Requirements
  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Business Management, Operation Management, Logistic/Transportation or equivalent.
  • At least 10 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
