Job summary

A recruitment agency is looking for a Procurement Manager to strategize and oversee procurement operations in Kuala Lumpur's Food & Beverage industry. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of managerial experience in procurement and strong skills in Excel and data analysis. Proficiency in English and Mandarin is required. This position offers a full-time opportunity with a standard Monday to Friday work schedule.

Company Background

We are representing a group of companies specializing in the Food & Beverage industry. As part of their ongoing expansion, they are seeking experienced Procurement Manager to join their growing team based in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.

Job Responsibilities
Procurement Strategy & Planning
  • Develop, implement, and monitor purchasing strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Forecast procurement needs and plan budgets accordingly.
  • Identify and evaluate new suppliers and sourcing opportunities.
Vendor Management
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure the best value.
  • Establish and maintain strong supplier relationships.
  • Conduct suppliers performance evaluations and audits.
Purchasing Operations
  • Oversee daily purchasing operations to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Approve purchase orders and verify specifications and quality standard.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, ISO standards and regulatory requirements.
Cost & Inventory Control
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse and production teams.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
  • Analyze purchasing date to identify trends and potential savings.
Team Leadership & Reporting
  • Supervise and train procurement staff.
  • Prepare reports on purchasing activities, supplier performance, and cost analysis.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum with a Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance or relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in managerial level ofpurchasing, procurement or supply chain management in F&B industries.
  • Experienced with inventory control and procurement planning.
  • Good in Excel and data analysis.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Good communication skill in English & Mandarin (Due to business nature).

Working Hour: Monday - Friday, 9:00am 6:00pm
