Job Overview

A Procurement Executive is responsible for managing the end‑to‑end procurement process, including identifying organizational needs, sourcing and evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring cost‑effectiveness while maintaining quality standards. The role emphasizes compliance with internal policies and external regulations, and requires detailed reporting on procurement activities, supplier performance, and expenditures.

Responsibilities
  • Manage vendor relationships and analyze market trends.
  • Conduct bidding processes such as RFI, RFQ, and RFP.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Generate detailed reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and expenditures.
  • Prepare reports and support procurement activities, including PR preparation, documentation, and data entry.
  • Operate and maintain the engineering store, controlling inventory, issuing and receiving goods, and keeping accurate records.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping in the store and issue items to other departments as requested.
  • Record and monitor consumption of fuel oil and diesel daily.
  • Prepare monthly stock reports and submit them to the Engineering Head.
  • Update SAP transactions (goods issue, goods receipt, Delivery Order information) and verify documents for payment processing.
  • Undertake special assignments, ad‑hoc functions, and general administrative tasks as required.
  • Prepare official documents and applications required by Malaysian regulatory and statutory authorities, and attend meetings with government/customs officials when necessary.
