A procurement company in Selangor is seeking a talented procurement professional. The ideal candidate must possess strong communication skills in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia. Responsibilities include managing suppliers, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining procurement documentation. A diploma in logistics or business management is required along with 2-3 years of relevant experience. This position is based in Kota Damansara and provides an excellent opportunity for those in the logistics field.
Job Description
Procurement (Mandarin speaking is a must)
Analyse and strive to maintained up-to-date knowledge of marketing trends, pricing and availability relative to the product assigned.
Perform in a purchase, delivery planning, delivery control and stock control of materials.
Monitor and coordinate delivery and ensure a minimum safety stock level is kept at all times for production and etc.
Close coordinate with Forwarded and supplier on shipment delivery schedule and avoid any unnecessary charges.
Complete closure of monthly PO and maintain proper procurement filling and recording system as well as upkeep a good vendor management system.
Monthly checking and update on Aging report before issuing new PO to supplier.
Engage in intercompany Purchase, Source for local and overseas best costs savings, quality new parts, materials, services or suppliers.
To Coordinate and ensure materials purchased are received on time and delivered smoothly to site on time includes of shipment arrangement, local and oversea transport, freight, import, export etc.
Coordinate meetings with supplier and stakeholder on forecast, issues and complains as well as any process improvement.
Deal with Corrective action report (CAR) with suppliers on any quality issues, products replacement, Product defect, products sample request, credit and debit note etc.
Engagement with stakeholders to agree prequalification and assessment criteria, devise specifications contract term KPIs and other instruments.
Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly and yearly reports that are required.
Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Logistic/Transportation, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Others or equivalent.
Required skill(s): MS Office, SAP.
Required language(s): Mandarin in order to communicate with Mandarin speaking clients, English, Bahasa Malaysia.
At least 2-3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Applicants must be willing to work in Kota Damansara.
Preferably Junior Executive specializing in Logistics/Supply Chain or equivalent.
