Job summary

A world-class aerospace manufacturing company based in Shah Alam seeks a Procurement Specialist to manage material requirements for LTA projects. The candidate will evaluate suppliers, obtain pricing for materials, and manage purchasing processes to ensure timely delivery. Responsibilities include establishing contracts with suppliers and monitoring material inventory. A Bachelor's degree and 3 years of relevant experience are required, along with strong analytical and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is necessary.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment or in purchasing.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or any engineering field.

Job description
Overview

To analyse material requirement and prepare order plan for LTA projects. Establish contact and evaluate suppliers from customer’s ASL and request for costing of aerospace materials. Obtain material/secondary process pricing on all projects RFQs for Program Managers. Start and manage an aerospace material costing database to ascertain best source and alternative sources of each aerospace material grade. Determine cost effective modes to ship materials. Periodic supplier performance evaluation and assessment. Close collaboration with Production Control to determine timeline for material requirement and material delivery for production schedule. Establish material contract with supplier to ensure supply continuity and buffer inventory in place at supplier site. Project materials purchasing – PR & PO issuance, monitor delivery as per QSP. Project materials planning – place order and determine right amount of inventory to hold. Project materials scheduling – when materials should arrive and timely manner. Project materials Inventory – not excessively stocked. Supplier Risk monitoring and assessment is done as per QSP.

  • Execute project materials purchasing including PR & PO issuance and monitor delivery per QSP.
  • Plan project materials: place orders and determine appropriate inventory levels.
  • Schedule project materials: ensure timely arrivals.
  • Manage project materials inventory to avoid excessive stocking.
  • Monitor supplier risk as per QSP.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 3 years in a manufacturing environment or in purchasing.
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or any engineering field.

Education
