Job Summary
Responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities for data center projects, including sourcing, vendor negotiation, cost control, and delivery coordination. This role ensures all materials and services are acquired efficiently, within budget, and in compliance with company standards and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- 
1. Procurement & Sourcing
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors for materials, equipment, and services required for data center projects.
- Prepare and issue Purchase Requisitions (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO), and support supplier agreement setup with the Contract Team in accordance with company policies.
- Monitor and ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, quotations, and supplier correspondence.
 
- 
2. Cost & Vendor Management
- Compare and analyze price, quality, and delivery terms to achieve cost savings and operational efficiency.
- Develop and maintain a qualified vendor database for electrical, mechanical, and IT infrastructure materials.
- Support QS and Project Teams in budget tracking and cost control.
- Evaluate supplier performance and ensure compliance with company standards and safety requirements.
 
- 
3. Project Coordination
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure all material requirements align with project schedules.
- Coordinate with logistics, warehouse, and finance teams to ensure smooth material handling and payment processes.
- Assist in preparing procurement reports and material tracking logs for management review.
 
- 
4. Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company SOPs and procurement policies.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation for audit and project reference.
- Support internal and external audits related to procurement and vendor management.
 
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in procurement, preferably in construction, M&E, or data center projects.
- Good understanding of electrical, mechanical, and IT materials used in data center environments.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP or procurement software is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, and work under pressure.
- Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is an advantage).
